Marine Borneo Research Institute (BMRI) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah is a MUST place to visit when you are in Kota Kinabalu, especially if you are on your way to 1 Borneo Hypermall.
At BMRI you can visit the UMS Museum & Aquarium and then enjoy the scenery of seaside at UMS Jetty. In UMS Museum & Aquarium, you will experience a lively atmosphere of the ocean life. You will be excited & happy to see many marine organism such as living corals, clams, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, shrimp, lobster, fish and turtle.

UMS Museum & Aquarium is opened daily (except on Wednesday & public holiday) from 12:30 - 4:40 pm. This museum is FREE only for UMS students & staff. Then entrance fee is shown as below:

After you visit UMS Museum & Aquarium, you can just walk down to UMS Jetty, where it is FREE for public to enjoy the sea breeze & capture a memorable moment here in UMS.
